Quaruty LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Hikari, an iOS app for daily affirmations, reflection, and gentle self-growth. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Hikari, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide. This may include your first name (if you choose to share it during onboarding), journal and reflection entries, affirmation preferences, notification settings, and other content you create in the app.
Information stored on your device. Much of your app data — including journal entries, streaks, favorites, and preferences — is stored locally on your iPhone.
Usage and analytics data. We collect anonymous usage events — such as screens viewed, features used, onboarding completion, and subscription-related events — to understand how the app is used and to improve it.
Device identifiers.We generate and store an anonymous identifier in your device's secure keychain. This identifier helps us understand app usage, restore purchases, and improve the app experience. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Purchase information. If you subscribe to Hikari Plus, payment is processed by Apple. We receive subscription status through our subscription provider (RevenueCat) but do not receive your full payment card details.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and personalize the Hikari experience
- Deliver daily affirmations, widgets, and notifications you request
- Manage Hikari Plus subscriptions and restore purchases
- Understand app usage and improve features, stability, and design
- Respond to support requests you send us
We do not sell your personal information.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of your data.

Third-party services
We use trusted third-party services to operate Hikari:
- PostHog — product analytics to help us understand how the app is used.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management for Hikari Plus.
- Apple — App Store distribution, in-app purchases, and push notifications (if enabled).
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and only as necessary to provide their services.
International data transfers
Some of our service providers may process information outside your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards are used to protect personal information during international transfers.
Data retention
Most content you create in the app is stored locally on your device unless otherwise indicated.
Analytics data may be retained for a limited period consistent with our analytics provider's policies.
You may delete the app at any time to remove locally stored data from your device.
Your choices
You can disable push notifications in iOS Settings or within the app. You can manage your Hikari Plus subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
